A typical new build requires only 2.2kW heating as opposed to builds in 2006 where they required at least 3.5kW
The UK government are pushing for the construction of more new homes. 250,000 new homes need to be built per year in England to keep up with demand, whilst achieving an A rated status. Buildings account for 44% of all UK CO2 emissions – space heating and hot water account for almost 75% of total energy consumed in UK homes.
Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) must form part of the solution to deliver hot water and heating to these new homes. High Standard Assessment Procedures (SAP) ratings can be achieved by adopting alternative technologies such as ASHP and Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery (MVHR). The construction of hundreds of thousands of new build homes is a golden opportunity to change our approach to how we heat, and provide hot water in a home.
The Solution:
The Ecodan QUHZ is Mitsubishi Electric’s latest air to water heat pump system and is the ideal solution for new build homes.
